After purchasing a sculpt for my daughter , I gathered supplies and  and
studied OOAK dolls that were for sale on EBAY for about 6 months before I
got up enough couarge to try my hand at making a doll! I sat
down with my tools thinking this would be so easy! Boy was I ever wrong!
My first doll  resembled some type of alien baby that maybe a 4 year old
child sculpted! I learned  a new appreciation for the work that goes into some
of the most beautiful dolls there are! It  takes alot of time, patience and
practice to make even a beginning sculpt!  Every day is a learning
experience ! Even though my goal was to eventually sculpt beautiful babies
I know now I can only dream of being a master like some of the very well
known artists!! My dolls are more whimsical than beautiful but I have
come a long way from aliens , each day is a new journey. Now My goal  is
to make dolls that make people smile ! I have always loved babies and dolls,
thats what makes this art so fun for me!  I cant work due to health problems
and would love to make lots of money selling my creations but more
importantly  I want to make cute babies that are reasonably priced  and
affordable for all collectors!  There is so much competition in the doll world,
OOAK dolls can bring alot of money ! All I want is for anyone who  would
like to have my dolls  to be able to afford them  and enjoy them!

I am the mother of three great kids ages 25, 19 ,15

All of my babies are One of a Kind.. I never use molds, only my
imagination ! I start with a lump of a prosculpt polymer clay, and small
tools,  work the clay until a little face is formed . Little limbs are then
formed, complete with
tiny details, all pieces are then blushed with artists oil chalks , then baked
to a hardened finish. After baking , the Limbs are  attached  to a soft body
(unless its a full sculpt, like the one above , then it is put together before
baking) hair is added, and the baby is dressed....when they are ALL
DOLLED UP and ready for a home, I list them on Ebay !
I first discovered polymer clay art dolls in 2006, just after my daughter
miscarried with her first baby. I searched the internet for some type of
memorial piece to help her cope with the grief of loosing our Angel Born
sleeping , Noah Keden. The first thing I saw was a small doll that was made
of clay and looked like a brand new baby. The further I searched  I became so
intriqued by this form of art! The details and the realism were unbelievable!
and MImmi to 1yr old Madisynne !
